A deal of a evil love and heart

"....are you sure?" the prince asked.

"alright." he said but turns to leave to the enterance. As he got there, he hovers over it but puts a invisable barrier up, sealing it till she woke up. The prince sighed and flew home.

brandon shot the ceiling with a pulse of energy that collapsed the cave on both sides of the barrier. then he turned to Mellina and waited through endless days of darkness for her to wake.

The darkness kept around him and her. Mellina kept sleeping in the egg that lightly pulsed like a heart. She kept curled in a ball but remained sleeping.

he remained absolutely still as time went by. only when he needed to did he drink blood from a flask in his pouch.

mellina remained asleep but the vines on her heart, neck, and lower back kept her alive but was still in a ball while a marking was appearing near her lower back as days went.

he waits motionless ,unless he has to drink, for the entire time. like a sentry that would only react to danger.

The weeks pass and a few changes show for mellina, even her hair looked longer that it floated in the egg. The darkness kept around her but keeping her safe.

Its only been close to a month as she sleeps but gently twitched. The light red egg still the same but a light crack shows on the egg.

he noticed wondering what that meant but remained still.

The cracks get a bit bigger now while mellina kept in a ball. The egg still kept cracking till it shattered, droping mellina in clear shiny slime but the vines get loose from her. She kept in a ball quiet.

he caught her and held her gently in his arms.

She kept sleeping but didn't look different but one thing, having two folded wings at her lower back and a marking on her arm. She even had the same mark like her mom but a bit different, the black flame bats show up but now glowing energy.

he kept holding her but didnt interfere with the "bats" he knew that if they were going to hurt her they would have before he even got to the classroom in the first place. this cave amazed him.

They just waited for mellina to wake too. She remained still but her tail moved and tilts her head on brandon's chest, hearing his heartbeat. She kept listening but opened her eyes half way, showing her fangs. "....b-brandon-kun?" she said in a tired tone.

".....very tired and a bit different....." mellina said tired as her new wings kept folded but tail moving. The black energy kept watching but guarding the two if bad things happen.

"....you sure? I thought you would be gone at the academy.." she said but because of what happened, mellina could now see in the dark perfect now. She heard the bats near but one sitting on brandon's shoulder squeaking a bit.
