A heavy painfull memory

"hold on, it can do that?"she asked, looking at him.

she kept gazing into the fire but thinks it's cool.

he stares at her while puuting more wood on.

mellina hums but gazing more to the fire, making her red eyes almost a orange mixed with red color.

"I don't. that always happens when I don't know."she said.

he keeps stareing at them theyre so hypnotic.

she laughs, saying, "I guess..but it's not bothering you, right?"

he doesnt move or look away. no it doesnt bother me.

she gently smiled but looked at him.

he snaps out of it and looks away after a few minutes.

she blinks but smiled, looking at the fire.

it had gone down to mere embers but brandon blows on them adding leaves to it before putting more wood on. soon it returns to its white hot intensity.

she kept looking but enjoying how the fire changed.

the wood pops and an ember shoots at her. Brandon catches it and she smells his skin and blood burn. he throws the piece back into the fire and flexes his hand as it heals.

"does it always do that?"mellina asked, looking at the fire then at him.

mellina sighed but looking at him. "good point."

"yeah, I'm alright. you?"mellina gently asked.

"And that's a good thing."she said with a smile.
