A memorial Birthday

She smiled while looking at him go but gets up to start working on her chores.

Brandon uses his ears to "spy" on her calmy waiting for her to finish.

Mellina begins first to clean up her dorm while humming. She was used to clean up so it was done a bit faster than some others would do. Next, she checked if she did all her work and the work was done right. Made sure Theo was feed and had his regular check up but he was fine. After finishing up in her dorm, she leaves to head to her garden to do a check too, humming.

Brandon waited wondering why she was so happy but happy she was finally happy. he listened to her and fell more in love with her grace in movement.

She kept humming gently while arriving at the garden but checking each fruit and veggie or other plants to pick and put in baskets. She sees a few ripe or some not done but just kept looking and not one was rotten or dead. Mellina kept humming but it sounded really soft and gentle like singing to a baby.

Mel-chan why are you so happy? he said still outside her dorm door thinking about anything at all.

She kept picking while checking the produce but stands up stright, looking around feeling the gentle wind blowing. It almost made her sing something new and it did. Soflty, she was now singing a different language song her mom taught her as a child. It's gentle notes were heard around for anyone to hear, sounding like someone was in peace.

still waiting he listened to her.

She kept singing while eyes were closed but still holding the basket, still feeling the wind. mellina was thinking of her family and her love brandon while just staying happy more. When mellina was doen picking the produce, she smiled finishing off the song but could have sworn she felt a gentle hand on her shoulder but a good one.

Brandon straitened out his clothes and stood up as she finnished the song. thinking she would return soon he stood like he was before she left and stayed that way. he listened more as his ears showed his vampiric side.

She finishes up with some extra things on her list before heading back to her dorm, humming the same song again in a different verse.

he stayed still as a statue listening to her.

She kept humming the different verse while smiling more, walking down the hall but gets to her dorm before seeing brandon.

he was waiting for her to finish her chores.

"Let me see..that should be everything I think." she said checking her list twice.

"Yeah, I'm all done now." mellina said.

"Nothing much. Just an old song my mama taught me as a child. It's really fun and soothing to me when I hum or sing it." Mellina smiled at him while holding the basket with food in it.

what did you plan next? he held back his real source of curiosity, why was she so happy, and decided to move on.

"I guess anything that sounds interesting." Mellina said thinking as she looked to the ceiling.
